kelly mcdavidA native of Charlotte, Kelly earned her B.A. in Drama at Presbyterian College. While she admits that she has never performed in an audio drama, Kelly maintains that “Beauty Pageant” has been filled with much laughter and the opportunity to spend time with many great friends, for which she is most grateful to Straight Talk Entertainment. Kelly has done numerous voice-overs for corporate training videos as well as radio commercials; On stage, her favorite credits include the role of Velma Kelly in “Chicago” and Penny in “Hairspray”, both with the Flowertown Players. She also enjoyed portraying Maggie in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and Stella Kowalski in “A Streetcar Named Desire” with the Footlight Players. One of her favorite characters was the character Rayleen Hobbs in WhatIF Productions’ “The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife”. Kelly currently appears weekly as Maid FuFu at the Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theater and will next be seen in WhatIF? Productions’ “Evil Dead: The Musical”.
